The People's Market
In downtown Corpus Christi, just past Peoples Street on North Chaparral is now home to The People's Market (sponsored by 20/20 Vintage and El Local Collective), a recurring market by the people, for the people. On the 3rd Sunday of each month, 615 N Chaparral St hosts a variety of vendors in support of local nonprofit organizations. Despite the mask mandate being lifted, wearing masks and maintaining a safe social distance is a requirement. To apply for our monthly market, please read the guidelines then fill out the form below. We rely on the accountability of our vendors to keep a lasting market that helps small businesses grow. By applying you acknowledge you have read and agree to the following guidelines.
Vendor Requirements: To be considered, you must sell handmade/homemade items or repurposed goods. Brands and apparel lines are only allowed to be sold as merch from the DJs or bands that have been booked for live music. If you are a new business and need assistance, please inform us so that we may help.
Application Process: Each month you are required to re-apply. This is to give more opportunities to more artists, artisans, and small businesses of the Coastal Bend. Deadline is the 8th of every month.
Set-Up/Un-Loading: Set-up must be complete BEFORE the market begins. You are responsible for bringing your own tents, weights, tables, chairs, and all items necessary for your set-up. We also advise you bring water. You can use the parking lot adjacent to the space the market is in for unloading and loading, but must not remain parked there for the duration of the event as that space is property of Nueces Lofts and subject to their towing.
Weather: This event happens every 3rd Sunday of the month, rain or shine unless otherwise announced. Please bring sufficient weights for your tent/canopy, as winds are strong. From experience, 5-pound weight plates have been taken by winds. We are not responsible for accidents, broken items, or damage to vendors belongings during any market. Be responsible not just for yourself, but for possible damage that could occur as the result of an accident that could affect your vendor neighbors.
Payment: Market spaces are $15 for a 5x5 space (single table set-up) and $20 for a 10x10 space (standard canopy size). If you are accepted as a vendor, a representative will reach out to you about payment. The deadline for payment is at least one week before the market. Payment must be made PRIOR to the start of The People's Market.
Cancellation: No refunds, although we may use your payment as credit towards a future market at our discretion.
