Misery and Company
Disappointed with her diagnosis of schizophrenia, JJDM felt miserable. It was caused by gabapentin, a medicine she was taking for her misdiagnosed MS. With an unpleasant voice growing louder in her head, she certainly had company.
"It was miserable learning all this stuff. It really started verbalizing itself, making itself known. It's annoying to know that medication caused it but at the same time need to take it."
Here, the butterflies symbolize rebirth. The lightning bolts represent the sharp pain she was having. Crystals resemble electroconvulsive therapy. Tree branches symbolized the search she must always find within herself to grow.
